Visual Hiearchy
Emphasizing the nonprofit’s purpose was essential to telling a clear, compelling story that reflected the client’s vision. Through intentional use of visual hierarchy—such as bold headline placement, strategic whitespace, and prominent callouts—we brought the mission and impact to the forefront. These design choices guided users’ attention, making it easy to understand the organization’s value at a glance and fostering a deeper connection with their audience.

UX/UI Transformation
As the UX/UI Designer on the Remarkably Us website project, I collaborated with a cross-functional team to transform our initial wireframes into a fully responsive WordPress site. I focused on creating a seamless and accessible user experience by ensuring each page had a clear purpose, consistent visual hierarchy, and intuitive navigation. Working closely with the development team, I translated design concepts into functional layouts, optimizing the site structure for both desktop and mobile. Additionally, I implemented SEO best practices and tailored the content and layout to align with the client’s brand voice, goals, and user expectations. The final product reflected a cohesive, user-friendly experience that significantly improved clarity, engagement, and overall usability.

Reflection
Redesigning the Remarkably Us website was a valuable opportunity to apply user-centered design principles in a real-world setting. Collaborating with a team through each phase—from meeting with stakeholders, researching, and wireframing—challenged me to balance creativity with functionality. This redesign in 48 hours deepened my understanding of designing within the constraints of a platform like WordPress while still delivering a seamless and engaging user experience.
One of the most rewarding aspects was seeing how thoughtful UX and UI decisions could directly improve the site's clarity, usability, and help align with the client’s goals while also helping the team progress to the next steps of the design process. I also gained hands-on experience implementing SEO best practices and designing with both users and business outcomes in mind.
Ultimately, this reinforced the importance of clear communication, design consistency, and strategic collaboration. It also strengthened my confidence in turning user and stakeholder needs into a polished, functional product that adds real value.
