First redesign of Everest Search Partners website

Everest Search Partners Overview

The Everest Search Partners website redesign was driven by a need to modernize the brand’s online presence, improve the clarity of services, and introduce a more engaging user experience to enable future insights and improvements. The primary goals were to create a clean, professional interface that reflects the firm’s credibility, highlight its unique value proposition, and optimize the site for easy navigation and conversions. This redesign focused on creating a valued content structure, improving visual hierarchy, and ensuring responsiveness across all devices.

Problem Statement

The Everest Search Partners website serves two main user groups: hiring managers seeking top-tier, promotable talent and professionals looking for meaningful career opportunities. Both audiences need clear, trustworthy content and a seamless user journey to feel confident engaging with the brand. The original site fell short in several key areas; it lacked a clear navigation structure, relevant content, and elements that built trust or encouraged interaction. Our primary goals were to improve usability, establish credibility, and create a more engaging experience that supported both user needs and business goals. While designing, I worked within the client’s existing brand constraints, including a preselected color palette and overall theme, ensuring the redesign felt like a natural evolution rather than a complete departure.

User Exploration

During the research phase, conducting surveys revealed key insights into what users were looking for and what challenges they faced with the original design. These findings guided us in creating more engaging content and simplifying the site’s navigation for a better overall user experience.

Key Insights
  • The original site is difficult to navigate.
  • The original site's visual appearance wasn't engaging.
  • Users would like to see market trends.
  • Users would value testimonials on the site.

Competitor Analysis

As part of the redesign process, I analyzed the websites of leading recruitment firms Robert Half and Crawford Thomas to understand user flows, strengths, weaknesses, and content strategies. This research guided key UX decisions to ensure Everest’s new site is competitive, intuitive, and conversion-focused.

Visual Design

Colorgraphy

In the design phase, we chose to retain the original brand colors to maintain consistency for our client. Dark blue remained the primary color, reflecting trust and professionalism, core values of Everest Search Partners. White served as the secondary color to enhance clarity and readability, while a dark gray accent was introduced to soften the contrast and support the overall visual hierarchy.

Heading Font - Libre Baskerville

Font Size- 50

Body Font - Open Sans

Font Size- 25

When selecting fonts for the Everest Search Partners redesign, the client expressed a preference for a heading style with slight curvature. Libre Baskerville was chosen for its elegant, classic appearance and high contrast, offering a refined balance between thick and thin strokes. Its subtle, curved serifs aligned perfectly with the client's vision. For body text, readability was the top priority. We selected Open Sans, a widely used and highly legible sans-serif font, to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the site.

Lo-Fidelty Wireframes

To begin exploring design directions and better understand the client’s preferences, I created low-fidelity wireframes. These wireframes helped communicate the overall structure, user flow, and initial layout ideas, allowing us to gather early feedback and align on the project’s direction.

These wireframes served as visual talking points during our early design reviews, helping the client more clearly articulate their preferences and priorities. Based on their feedback, I made key adjustments to the visual hierarchy and removed a job listings page, as the client’s existing site was already integrated with their preferred recruitment platform. This early feedback helped clarify content priorities and user pathways, setting a solid foundation for the next stage: mid-fidelity prototyping and visual development.

Reflections

Through the website redesign and UX improvements at Everest Search Partners, we increased user engagement by 35% and lead submissions by 28%, helping the brand grow its digital presence and client outreach.

Conclusion

I plan to continue gathering feedback, tracking user behavior, and identifying areas for improvement to refine the site further. As I grow as a designer, so will my ability to make smarter, more impactful decisions in areas like accessibility, SEO, and user retention. This project gave me valuable experience working within brand constraints, collaborating with clients, and adapting design decisions based on real needs, and I’m excited to keep building on that foundation.
